भर्तृहरि नीतिशतक

एके सत्पुरुषाः परार्थघटकाः स्वार्थं परितज्य ये
सामान्यास्तु परार्थमुद्यमभृतः स्वार्थाऽविरोधेन ये ।
तेऽमी मानुषराक्षसाः परहितं स्वार्थाय निघ्नन्ति ये
ये तु घ्नन्ति निरर्थकं परहितं ते के न जानीमहे ।। नीतिशतक

🌹भर्तृहरि कहते हैं  इस विश्व में 4 प्रकार के लोग होते हैं पहले ‘सत्पुरुष’ हैं जो दूसरों के हित के लिए स्वार्थ का ही त्याग कर देते हैं।

🌿दूसरे ‘सामान्य’ लोग होते हैं, जो इस बात का ध्यान रखते हैं कि अपनी स्वार्थसिद्धि से दूसरों का अहित तो नहीं हो रहा है ।

🌹तीसरे वे हैं जो इस बात की परवाह नहीं करते हैं कि क्या उनकी स्वार्थपूर्ति  अन्य लोगों का नुकसान तो नहीं हो रहा है । भर्तृहरि इनको ‘मानुषराक्षस’ कहते हैं।

🌿चौथे वे लोग हैं जो दूसरों के हित के विरुद्ध कार्य करते हैं भले ही इससे उनका कोई स्वार्थ सिद्ध हो अथवा न हो रहा हो ।

🌹King Bharthari says in this shloka that there are 4 kinds of people in this world.

🌿First are the noble souls who give up their own interests for the sake of others.

🌹The second category listed by him is that of the ordinary people who
always take care whether their purpose of their interests is not in contradiction to other people's interests.

🌿Third are those people who do not give a damn whether their interests are in contradiction to others's,  they are called demons in.the humane form by the king poet.

🌹And fourthly there are those people who do not have any interest but are happy hurting others because they find joy in it.
